ANIMAL VIEWING & PETS CORNER
A visit to Lower Roundhurst Farm wouldn’t be complete without seeing the animals.
With your health and safety in mind we have created a beautiful viewing area where you can watch the animals in the fields and get close to our entertaining and sociable pets. Watch cows and calves or ewes and lambs grazing under the oak trees. Pets’ Corner has views over our beautiful parkland and children can be charmed by our rabbits and guinea pigs, delighted by our ducks, say hello to the hens and be amused by our cheeky goats and inquisitive alpacas.
In the winter we will also have a safe area where our visitors will be able to come close and view our cows in the barn. You may even see a calf being born.*
On the 4th Saturday of every month our yards or fields are open so you can visit the animals and have a guided tour with our farmer.**
Wholesome, healthy eating starts with a passion for food, farming and the countryside. A visit to a real working organic farm gives youngsters an ideal introduction to understanding where our food comes from and helps encourage them to make healthy choices in the future.
*Viewing of animals in the fields or the barn is of course dependent on the farming cycle. Pets’ Corner is not a petting farm. Children have a clear view of the animals but are kept a safe and healthy distance from the animal pens by a double fence.
**Due to adverse weather or farming commitments, openings may have to be cancelled without notice. If this is the sole purpose of your visit, please check before visiting.
